Fancy yourself as James Bond or his devastatingly evil adversary? You're in luck. Wednesday night is Casino night. Have a spin on the roulette table or a shuffle of the Blackjack cards and win yourself a fortune (in play-money). There will also be plenty of food and drink to welcome the conference in.

After the evening meal, with drinks provided by National Theatre of Scotland then its out on the town to sample the nightlife.
The AMA has designated two 'AMA' bars, The Traverse and The Dragonfly. Don't stay out too late!
If you are an adventurous type, Anita MacGregor from the Audience Business, and also a member Rep from East Scotland, gives her top tips for venturing further afield. She'd like to point out that she's heard all this from friends - she normally restricts herself to a small glass of sweet sherry on whist nights.
1. Style bars – definitely George Street. If you have a look at www.edinburghgeorgestreet.co.uk and click on 'food and drink' you will get an idea of what is available. It can be a bit of a nightmare at the weekend (busy) but a Thurs night is usually nice and chilled with a pretty buzzy atmosphere. A lot of office types in suits are around generally.
2. Laid back – Grassmarket (historical student area) and/or George IV Bridge which is just around the corner – a bar called The Villager is great but small - (George IV is not as full on as George St and higher on the 'cool' factor than Grassmarket – anything goes really).
3. Broughton Street – slightly further away at the east end of Queen Street – v gay friendly – great food!
